Covent Garden Christmas Lights 2016

 

I’ve been desperate to see Covent Garden’s legendary Christmas lights ever since the gorgeous instagram photos started popping up last month! So when I traveled to London to meet some friends at Winter Wonderland, I couldn’t resist sneaking here first to see them for myself!

 

 

Covent Garden’s 2016 theme is ‘Meet Me Under The Mistletoe‘, which has returned for its second year in a row. And it’s not hard to see why they brought it back! 45 stunning mistletoe chandeliers have been hung around the market, each adorned with a total of 700 glowing berries. And the result is unimaginably pretty…

 

 

This years christmas lights were turned on in extravagant style, with joint performances by both the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera Chorus!

 

 

In addition to these magical decorations, 2016’s Christmas delights include the likes of a Santa’s Grotto, a display of giant Lego sculptures and even the opportunity to meet ‘Rudulph’ himself!
